Saturday - 9:00am group class in the park
Qigong AND Tai Chi for Self Healing of Body - Mind - Spirit with the "Nine Phases" AND "Tai Chi EASY." We exercise each of the 3 levels of our being: body, mind and spirit. We combine principles of qigong and tai chi, to affect our internal alchemy and create our own personal medicine. The fee for this group class is on a sliding scale from $10 to $20 per person. Please pay what fits your budget. Class time is approximately 45-60 minutes.

They include 3 adjustments:

  • Adjust Posture
  • Regulate Breath
  • Focus Intent

The 3 adjustments are then combined with gentle movement. Samples include:

  • Opening Stance
  • Discover and Gather Qi
  • Purify and Store Qi
  • Transmute and Dissolve into Qi
  • Harmonize Yin and Yang
  • Send Qi
  • Path to Clarity
  • Watch Clouds Pass
  • Gather Earth and Heaven
  • Closing Procedure

With practice people notice increased blood flow in their arms and legs, improved digestion, clarity of mind, and an overall sense of well-being.

I occasionally hear from some that qigong is not addressing their needs. People attend qigong for a variety of reasons including physical and/or mental health, the social aspect of group qigong, and some even for deep spiritual reasons. All are GOOD and VALID reasons. The Chinese word, gong, implies diligent, regular practice and if one's reason for practicing qigong is to reverse a health condition, one must receive the proper 'dose' of medicine. The more serious the condition, the more important the 'dose.' Once or twice a week is insufficient. Practice at home is vital in these conditions. If you are not attaining the results you expect to get from qigong, please feel free to discuss this with me. I have taught qigong successfully to ages spanning from 7 to 96 years old. I know qigong CAN work for you too!

Tai chi is often described as “meditation in motion,” but it might as well be called “medication in motion.” This mind-body practice can help treat or prevent many age-related health problems,
...it may be the perfect activity for the rest of your life.
